Being a parent is the most important job anyone can have. A parent coach can assist you in becoming the parent you want to be. Through coaching you will learn effective parenting strategies, behavior management techniques, and how to balance your life. Through the parent coaching process you will come to an ever-evolving conclusion on what your hopes and dreams are for your child and how to work towards them. This ongoing support in a safe place allows for you to gain insight into your parenting while supporting you through a process of change.

Some parents have sought out evaluations for early intervention, disabilities, or a difficulty. A clear interpretation of the reports can be provided and a discussion on developing plans for the future can take place. A write up of the session will be provided via mail or e-mail seven days following.

Parents often feel that something is “wrong” with their child or that their child is not the “same” as other kids. Often times it is apparent in the child’s education and/or behaviors. A developmental assessment can explain the areas of development and assess your child’s strengths and weaknesses. Then a plan for intervention will be tailored to meet your child’s individualized needs.

Interventions can be defined as structured activities to improve growth in social/emotional, gross/fine motor, cognitive, and language development. In most cases problems/delays in one area can strongly affect the other areas. Early intervention is the key to helping students to prevent future delays affecting all areas of development.  These interventions will be individually designed incorporating the curriculum currently being used by the child’s school… summer reading, homework, and projects. In most sessions, there are fun activities that not only promote progress but also are geared to instill confidence while abetting the student to discover the joy of “learning” itself.
